    Buddy brought over a gun to shoot and said it was his grandfather's but doesn't know anything else. I am not an old military gun guy so any help would be appreciated.

    Possible German Cigarette Rifle

    Post-WWII during and after the Constabulary, German gunsmiths were converting Wehrmacht Mausers into sporting rifles for food money. GI’s would trade them cartons of cigarettes for the hunting rifles hence the name cigarette rifles
