So last weekend went shooting with a friend from the forum here and he showed me a 10/22 modified with stuff from Zimmerman Arms.
Kind of pricey but I really liked it. So I was searching on GB for how cheap I could get the parts and came across a full rifle - with no reserve - from Zimmerman as a Demonstration Gun.
DEMO GUN. Rifle is cosmetically an mechanically excellent with low round count and small cosmetic scuffs.

I bought it! got a pretty good price.

Now all I have to do is wait.....

yeap..I'm excited to get back out there with this.

And since I will have two 10/22s maybe I can convince the missus to finally give it a go.
for FFL I'm taking advantage of the fact that Deb only charges $25 for long guns.

    Mods..should this be in Watercooler?

No, but this is what I would do:

    1. Form 1 to register it as an SBR with the barrel cut down to about 10". Threaded of course.
    2. Get a large diameter .22 silencer that will fit inside the hand guard.

Result, a very cool looking, fun and quiet new toy. :)

Well a can is part of the plan for both the 10/22s SBR maybe down the road. But a national match rifle is next after the can.
I am looking forward to the " sssshoot" to see what everyone is running before I buy.

I know you've got a bunch, but what is the can on this one and would you have got some different in hindsight?

If I were you. I would keep the long barrel. In fact, an 18-20" threaded barrel is ideal for suppressed applications in a 22 LR.

Longer barrels in a 22LR have the opposite effect on velocity. It actually slows it down. This means you can can use standard velocity rounds and it comes out ( in theory) subsonic. This makes it quieter compared to shorter barrels in a suppressed format.( eliminates that dreaded sonic crack)

You also will not have to deal with the headaches of buying expensive ammo, subsonics rounds, keyholing, faster barrel twist rates and reduced accuracy.

BTW.. the can on this one is an older custom can made by TLG.. for a 22 can, SWR spectre is the best

    Not any more :innocent0

I was going to upgrade my 10/22 with a Tapco stock and threaded target barrel. I like this much better, although I would have preferred the XL version you got. For $399 though it will do just fine

Well the boss is in meetings all day and I'm between projects so he gave me the day off.
Checked the ups tracking number for this rifle and it say " on the truck for delivery."
Think it would be too much to steak- out the FFL until the BBTOH arrives?

    Well it arrived
Thanks Deb at Estate Brokers for a smooth transaction

Here it is next to a normal 10/22 with 18" barrel and with a mag inserted for size reference

the brown truck o heaven brought me a package while I was out at the FFL so now I have a new scope to go with the gun. I know it's more scope than I need for a 22 but I'll have a new bolt action in two weeks so things will probably get swapped around

    But it looks really cool
