    customization next step

So I'm having a great time shooting this rifle and the accuracy is great

The stock on it is a standard A4 six position collapsable stock.

I'd like to put something on it that is more like the Magpul PRS I like the raised cheekpiece

But the thing is $200+ and besides Chads signature says "Magpul is snake oil"

So I'm looking for suggestions for AR style Adjustable stocks or other good varminter stuff for this rifle.

    Another happy customer

I am pretty happy with the Zimmerman also.
What is that scope you have on yours? I'm looking to get something for mine.
I had the same thoughts about upgrading the stock, but I'll get to that after I get a good scope.
It was a little disappointing to find it had a plastic trigger group, but I guess that is what Ruger is supplying now as OEM parts.
I swapped mine with the aluminum one from my old stainless/synthetic 10/22.
I also ordered the modification for holding the bolt open after the last shot. That has not arrived yet.

    Here is a pic.

A friend with several modified 10/22s told me to save the $10 plus shipping on the bolt release and he would show me how to modify the Orig with a dremel

I bought an NC Star 4-16x50 scope before reading several negative reviews. So far I'm happy but afraid it will prove to be a mistake

The bolt release modification is easy, judging from the pictures and DIY info on the net.
The gizmo I ordered is for detecting an empty magazine and holding the bolt open after the last round is fired.

The downside is that the magazines need slight modification to work with this. The kit comes with one. I am pretty confident I can modify the rest of my mags once I have an exemplar to work off. Based on the photos of the modified mags it looks like a simple job for the milling machine.

Thats a pretty big downside since I have 6 - BC steel lip 25rd mags.
I might still consider it, but I think I'll wait to see how it works out for you.

Please post a report on the mod when you do it.

So tonight with my mad GOOGLE-fu skills and an old dremel I modded the bolt hold open piece in the trigger group.to the auto bolt release when you pull the the bolt back.
