    i saw this completed ak upper kit with receiver. since it's never had a stock attached, could this be completed without attaching a stock and be considered a pistol?

    MD has its own definition of what is a rifle or a pistol. Over 16" barrel is not a pistol in MD.

    well, crap. i had a feeling it couldnt be that easy :o

    however, it cant be fired from the shoulder without a stock. so it doesnt quite meet Marylands definition of a rifle, either.

    W/out cutting the tang off the rear trunnion, or swapping it out to a pistol trunnion. I'd be more concerned with another agency - and it isn't the MSP.
