Has any one used the tactical forend that is offered? Looks like it may be a little over kill but a handy way to mount a bipod on the factory stock. My 10/22 is more of a walking gun and I have a tatical style Quik Sling on it that alows you to carry it muzle down across your chest. Also has a Tasco 3/9x40 on the Weaver rail with low mounts.

What kind of ammo do you shoot, and what kind of groupings do you get with that 28" barrell?

I bought a Rem 597, it may be better than the 10/22 once more accessories are available.

WOW...28in barrel? I thought I was pushing it with a 20in barrel.

Federal Bulk, Never really shot for groups mainly just snipe little green and tan army men at 100 yards at a buddies farm.

Since most standard and subsonic ammo burns all of its powder at around the 16" mark, I can only guess that the round has slowed considerably once it gets to the 28" mark.

Yes causing it to be very quiet. The guys at Cresap have on more than one occasion told me to take the suppressor off of it. :confused:
