I hate it when prices go up because it's old, I pick one of these up in early 70's from Academy Surplus for $5.00 Scabbard was another $5.00

You should have waited:D That $10 invested would have bought almost 9 of them at today's prices.

hmm, maybe not so reasonable. I'm not a bayonet expert, but I have never found these M4's for less than $100. There are the Italian-made bayonets for the BM 59 that fit an M1 carbine, but I don't think those are the same.

Which bayonet that you own is your favorite? Just curious.

It's hard to pick one but I'd have to go with my Vietnam era M1917 trench gun bayonet .

I've been looking for a experimental bayonet that Rock Island Arsenal made in 1975 . It has a MKII blade (Kabar)and M7 barrel ring, leather stacked handle and M7 pommel .They only made a handful of them though. SARCO made a knock off of it in the 80s ,I would settle for one of those .

I like most all things sharp and pointy .

I got mine from Midway yesterday; someone sharpened it. It came with a nice edge. Is that un-issued? I think not but I am happy with it. It's in really good condition and it came with the scabbard.

They should have been sharpened from the factory , as long as it is the original grind it's all good . I got a 69 and a 71 the are both factory original edges .
