I was thinking about the new Chiappa PAK-9. I can get one for a little over $400 bucks. It takes 9mm Beretta or Glock magazines.

I watched a couple of videos on it and it looks like it might be a bit of a mix of solid AK stuff and cheap plastic junk. It is imported by Chiappa from a Romanian manufacturer.

Just wondering if you guys had any thoughts? It's inexpensive enough I might just buy one just to knock it around on the range a little.

My Rhino shoots nice and it looks to be well made. I like Chiappa from what I have seen of them.

Anyway, these PAK-9s are not made by Chiappa, they are imported by Chiappa.

Now I am in interested in why you don't like Chiappa?

I have had several problems with them.

First was a Rhino that had a timing issue which caused the gun to lock up. Couldn't open it to unload. Second was a 22lr AR upper. The feed ramp was shaped like a verticle wall. It never feed a round.

With both I contacted Chiappa and got a complete runaround. Luckily the retail shop they were purchased from valued me as a customer and gave me a refund.

I will never purchase another product made by or with the name Chiappa on it.
