Finally, some good news on our 2nd Amendment Rights for a change.

I'm willing to lay down money and say Mikulski was in the minority vote.

Twenty-seven Democrats joined 39 Republicans and one independent in supporting the amendment, which was attached to a bill imposing restrictions on credit card companies.

I'm going to make it a point to thank each of those 27 Democrats.

Gillibrand has been shitting all over us....

    The hype
    NBC New York reports:
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is calling for the repeal of a federal policy on record keeping for gun background checks, a law she originally co-sponsored in Congress.

Sen. Gillibrand and fellow New York Senator Chuck Schumer want to change the Tiahrt Amendment, which requires records of gun background checks be destroyed after 24 hours. The amendment restricts cities, state and members of law enforcement from using so-called "trace data" to track how guns are trafficked across state lines.

Gillibrand, a supporter of the National Rifle Association, had originally co-sponsored the bill, which was added on to a appropriations bill, as an upstate Congresswoman. [Emphasis added]

I think she also signed on to McCarthy's bill.

It looks like the party leadership gave her a sit down and explained how things really work.

You're dead on. She had a chance to stand up for her beliefs and she opted to stand up for her career. She is NOT our friend. I listened to Jim Webb's speech, he understands the issue and will apparently represent the interests of his State.

Faehner's group sent a letter to senators Tuesday stating that Coburn's amendment would allow individuals to openly carry rifles, shotguns, and semiautomatic weapons in national parks.
    Semi-auto weapons!?!
    :omg:

Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, called the Senate vote reckless.
That's right Paul, alienate your group from some more Democrats in Congress....keep it up. :)

LOL, I heard that last night on the Mark Levin show as I was going home. The fill in guy said exactly that about gay/lesbians, and anti-second amendment folks. "How much of the voting population are you?"

Glad to see it passed (despite our two losers voting against it, and yes, Mikulski''s "present/not voting" counts as a "no" in my book), now to get the House to go along.

VCDL posted a link to email your house reps to urge passage in conference:
    https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml

I'll email Edwards, I'm sure she will support the amendment. :lol2:

Harry Ried of Nevada is alreight by my book. That said, I'm sure that even if the house passes it, which it very well might, that Hussein will just veto it. The silver lining to that scenareo being, if it hasent been demostrated in spades already, it will underscore with bold #72 font and italics the farce of the administration's "we like the 2A" bu!!shit...

We'll see . .it's like the DC "voting rights" bill. Will Team BO be so anti-gunowner that they risk the bad publicity of vetoing that bill or the credit card industry reform bill?

So far they seem to be somewhat pragmatic in actual actions, like keeping most of the Tiahrt Amendment alive. Maybe we can rename it the "Team BO Amendment"!!

    Damn shame.

She is lost and I am sure she will quickly be earning her F rating from the NRA. I do hope she loses the next election or gets her shit square real quick. We need Sgt. Hartman to provide some motivation for her. What a Fing sellout she has turned into. I personally would of told Schumer to shove it up his ass. Even if I had lost my relection bid, I could look at myself in the mirror and be happy with what I did.

Jesus I would pay big bucks to watch R. Lee give the "State Of The Union" address!!!!! 90% of these morons in D.C. are totally fing useless!!!
