I have a G23 and I'm interested in an odd way to the .357 Sig round.

Is a replacement barrel the only thing needed to be able to fire .357 Sig? Is the extractor different?

The .40 and .357 share the same case rim diameter, and the trigger block housing/ejector are the same between the 2 rounds.

Hell, you could even put a .357SIG slide/barrel assembly on a 9mm frame, and it'd work - but the ejector is slightly longer and a slightly different angle on the 9mm, so it'd throw the spent brass to nearly 2 o'clock. But it could be done in a pinch.

my thought is, as relatively inexpensive as glocks are, just get you one in your size in 357sig. also gives you another gun around the house. my issue with switching calibers around is i will bring the wrong mix of stuff to the range, competition, etc. and of course there is some risk if the wrong round is loaded. fyi i have g19, g23 and g32! 23 & 32 are my fav carry guns just cuz a little more oomph than the g19.
