Love to get an 1873 SAA to match, but it never stops, does it? At least safes have maximal capacities.

Nice! I'd like to pick up an 1873.
This thread is killing me. I REALLY want a lever gun in 44 magnum. I keep telling myself that I don't need one.... They're so damn nice looking!
This followed me home today from York
Another Savage 99 in this thread ... so unfair.
Saw the other thread you just started with more pics. She's a beaut.
I have no idea re prices for the production year/period and caliber you mentioned, but chatting with a gun store owner about Savage 99s in general when they come through on consignment, he was talking similar numbers for the older ones if not higher (esp for limited run takedowns).
Whatever you do, don't go visit this webpage ...

You really don't want to see all they have listed there ... or for that matter, here either ...

My two babies. Henry 44mag. and my 1968 Marlin 336 in 35 Remington. Time to add a nic Savage to the collection.

Looking at all theses lever guns made me wanna go fondle mine a little (guns that is).
Top to bottom
Savage 99 in .300 Savage
Marlin in .30-30
Winchester in .30-30
Winchester in .22
Marlin in .22
Love the .22s - both are models that I've been eyeing. Amazed that there are so many Savage 99 owners given that they're out of production, but it's this demand that's helping keep their values high. (And of course that's a Winchester 94 above the Marlin in 30-30)
Nice guns.
A Savage 99 would be a great addition (at least I'm lusting for one as well).
Thanks! Just bought a house....may be a while before I start adding to the collection.
