Great letter but hunting is not what the second amendment is about maybe that should be in the letter also.Just my humble opinion.

O'Malley is a shitbag like many other politicians. I would gladly say it to his face so I have no problem bad mouthing him on here, even if the wrong people could see it. I have sent emails and have still yet to get replies. Some people that do get replies only get automated ones from the anti people. I hate to say it but the anti's already have their minds made up and they dont care what we think. Us gun owners are so scary and dangerous but yet the anti's like to keep poking at us. They say we cant be reasoned with, and are so mean but yet we have been polite and done everything the legitmate legal way. I have yet to see any of us take the low blows and make bs up like the anti's. It makes ZERO sense.

I was so PO'd to receive the letter. I considered the content an insult and the use of DNR database an abuse. I struggled, but found a tactful way to tell him (and DNR) to stick it up the arse! Hopefully more hunters see through their underhanded tactics and it completely back-fires.

My letter to the secretary of the DNR. No response of course.

    Dear sir,

I am writing to voice my displeasure at receiving propaganda from the
Governor of Maryland that was trafficked through your email service. I
believe that I was SPAMMED this information by utilizing the email that I
have on file because of my purchasing a hunting license. I do not recall
there being a disclaimer attached to that form letting me know that I could
be subjected to biased information from outside sources. I do not mind
getting information from the DNR via this avenue that pertains to
information that is valuable to me i.e.: changes in hunting dates, bag
limits, regulations, etc. I do however not agree with the Governor's
intentions as related to bills that have been recently introduced into the
Maryland legislature on his behalf. I feel that this mass mailing is
misleading, inappropriate, and on some accounts an out and out lie. I do
hope that the Governor gets the message that hunters are just as likely to
read his proposed legislation as any other group and as such can make up
their own minds as far as how they will support it or oppose it. I feel that
the Governor already has multiple outlets for his message and do not
appreciate him SPAMMING my inbox with his opinions/lies. In the future I
hope that the DNR will think twice about letting our elected officials have
the run of the house when it comes to getting their political message out to
the masses. As a hunter I am offended by the message and I am offended that
it was allowed to go out to all hunters in Maryland. I hereby revoke
permission for my email to be used in this way. Thank you for your time.

I think every registered hunter got this. I also replied showing my displeasure. I did hear thru the grapevine that our responses don't go directly to MOM but to Paul P. at DNR. I have not confirmed this but if it is true hopefully he will forward them.

That's true, responses are going to Paul Peditto, Director of Wildlife & Heritage so I hope every hunter who received the E-mail stands together with all of us 2A supporter to voice their opposition to SB 281 (ET AL). MD has somewhere in the neighbor hood of 100,000 licensed hunters although only 30,000 E-mails were sent so don't allow MOM to divide us we all must stand together

So if you received an E-mail Please respond

If the assault weapon ban passes, we'll hear that our hunting rifles are much more powerful and must be banned as well. We cannot give one inch.
