    Excerpt from O'Malley's press conference last Friday:

    Protecting Second Amendment Rights -- These are common-sense gun safety proposals that will not infringe on the rights of law-abiding citizens: (1) the licensing plan carves out hunting rifles and shotguns in order to respect the rights and traditions of hunters and sportsmen;


    What do you guys think about sending pics of Maryland hunters in the field with their EBR's, accompanied by text to the effect of:

    As a registered Maryland voter and avid hunter, I was glad to hear that Governor O'Malley assured hunters that our rights would not be infringed upon. Since the Ar-15 and similar rifle are now quite popular in the field with hunters across the nation, I fully expect that this type of weapon will NOT be included in any proposed legislation.

    Absolutely not.

    I do not own firearms because I like to hunt.

    As a byproduct they are also good for hunting with. But that is not the reasoning.

    Somebody better inform the International Olympic Committee that target shooting is not a sport anymore.
    I could have sworn that Team USA took some shooting gold last year.
