What started out as a range trip to try out new Hogue grips on my SP101 .357 turned out to be a fun trip with multiple firearms chambered in .357 mag. I decided to take my Marlin 1894 .357 and my Ruger 77/357 along with the SP101. These are probably my favorite firearms to shoot with the exception of the SP101. Pleasant recoil, accurate, fun, well-made guns. Luckily I reload so not too expensive to shoot even with the current ammo situation. The new grip definitely help the SP101 in terms of grip and felt recoil but still not real pleasant like the rifles. I may take the pistol out more often now that it's got the new grip although if I'm going to burn up my 38/357 ammo I prefer to do it with the rifles.
