Rifles? If yes, join associated gun clubs (AGC)
If pistols only, there are indoor ranges near GB.

Sorry to necropost, but I didn't see any of these indoor ranges listed in the rest of the thread, and my google searches don't show anything. I have a rifle range membership, but I love the convenience of indoor ranges for keeping my skills current (I recently got my carry permit for MD) with my pistols.

The answer to that is to locate the place to shoot first , then look for housing within 30min of the range .

I think Myrtle Grove WMA in Charles County is as close as I've found to outdoors shoot-where-you-want kind of feel. It's in the woods, goes out to 100, shoot whatever you want, 5 bucks a stop or 20 for the year. No RSOs or formalities, police yourselves/clean up after yourselves and just have a good time. Most of the folks there know what they are about and everyone just kinda does their own thing. Downsides-it is kind of out of the way; still has lanes/target stands so it's not like you can set up a tactical range/steel or whatever if that is your thing; and it can get kind of crowded on weekends.

I'd highly recommend peacemaker training center. I used to be a member of AGC, but I got tired tired of it after a few years. I'm the kind of person that likes to shoot without anyone breathing down my neck and watching over me like I'm constantly doing something wrong.

Peacemaker has private bays with steel targets so you can do anything you want as long as you don't break the 180 rule. They also have 1,000 yard steel too.

Can you shoot at Peacemaker by the day or do you have to be a member?
