How many battles are typical LEOs on???????????
I'm sure there are a few around even here that may have been in shootouts and survived, thankfully.

Is that the typical cop's experience? Probably not, but they still get training that the rest of us don't.

Perhaps my post was vague, but a battle sidearm would be full size, the 26 might be better a backup meaning not the first choice. I wouldn't mind having it of something happened to the main sidearm. Perhaps an ankle holster like in the movies, lol.

I'll be damned. They're using Kimbers?

I hope the fixed the quality control issues they were having.

SF can bring their own weapons. They run a little differently. He has been happy with his Kimber. It has some miles on it.

If you don't care, why read and post in the thread?
OP's scenario was vague and arguably nonsensical. There is no such thing as a "battle sidearm". You go to war with a rifle. Any pistol you may be packing is at best a second thought, and more likely dead weight that you could have used for more rifle mags. This made the thread a delightful target to troll with that very thought.

Now, if OP had said "your choice of a military service pistol", we'd have a more interesting conversation, but it still would have devolved down into people pimping their favorite pistols regardless of whether they're sensible as service weapons.

Another vote for the BHP - but because that WAS my service pistol, Its what I was used to and most experienced with.
