Ruger SR40c barrel peening

    This must be my week for peening issues.

    I found the peening shown below on the barrel of my SR40c. Is this normal? The only thing it seems to line up with is the extractor. But I can't figure out how the extractor could possibly hit the barrel.

    I can look at my sr9c tonight and see if it looks like that. Ive got a good round count through it.

    When I had some light primer strikes ruger took care of me very well, to the point where im a ruger fan boy because of the customer service. You could call and talk to them.

    I don't know if it's common, but it is definitely NOT normal. I think you need to call Ruger for some warranty work.
