Went out to Western Maryland to do some fly fishing this past Saturday with my wife. Never have done it before and wanted to see what it was like went with :

Harold was our guide , we had a great time and he was extra patient . Funny how something that looks so simple actually requires a good amount of skill and a lot of muscle memory. Bending my wrist my was a big issue I needed to work out.

Anyways we had a good time my wife caught a couple of fish and we recommend them if anyone of you are up for fly fishing in western maryland

I've see those guys floating the North Branch a few times. What river did you fish?

It was by Jennings Randolph Lake off of Barnum Road on the West Va side. I don't remember the name of the river though we did meet him at Westernport Md

That's the north branch. Conditions permitting I'll be fishing there next weekend.

Welcome to fly fishing! You may find it addicting. It's much like shooting. It's harder than it looks, but very rewarding when you get better at it. You can get into it as deep as you want, or just play at it and have fun. Tying your own flies is much like reloading, except the savings are even greater.
