This is not a paid endorsement, just my experience. Several years ago I ordered a 2300 from the Crosman custom shop. It was essentially a 2240 with some added features. I was very happy with it. In an effort to get all things air to .177 around here, I recently ordered some parts from Alchemy Airwerks to convert the .22 to .177. The main components were 10" barrel, bolt, and metal transfer/seal combo. The process took less than an hour and a single run over my chronograph stated 457FPS. Then the chrony quit. Considering the price of a new 2300T, I converted the .22 cal over to .177 for about $70. Once it get the chrony situation repaired I'll post a few pics and results.

    Where they send me.
    Nice!

Now if we could just get you off the PCP :-).

Went to the Custom Shop (glad you didn't cost me more money!) and I see that it is CO2 rather than PCP. I stand corrected.

Nice job! A friend has a 1377 that's he's done a lot of work to. It's a bit depressing how accurate it is when I compare it to my PCP that I spent a whole lot more on

177 makes more sense for that type of gun anyways. I'm jealous of the flatter trajectory but I stick with 22 because of how much more it makes the plate ring

I've got the 7.5" and 24" 22 cal barrels and the shoulder stock adapter as well as an assortment of parts if anyone is interested in them let me know.

I'm interested in conversion from .22 to .177

I have always wanted to get a .22 pellet gun, but always had hte .177. I swear the next one will be a .22. Are there reasons against a .22 pellet gun that I don't know about?

I am trying to get to everything 177 just for ammo reasons with 177 you get more speed but less knockdown power. I just punch paper so flat nosed 177 wadcutter pellets make a neat hole, most of the 22 cal pellets are round nosed for more mass. On the Crosman 2300 models you pretty much change the barrel and bolt. I probably have all the parts in my bin. When my 2300 was 22 with the 24" barrel I whacked many starlings, a squirrel, and an opossum.

The only downside to .22 is that you don't find much of a selection in stores. Since they have places like Pyramid Air and Air Guns of Arizona etc., it's not a problem.
