Have a friend who just bought a crossbow. He is looking for a range in the area where he lives. Anybody got the name of a place he can shoot?

In my observations, Archery Ranges do NOT allow Crossbows on their property...

Crossbow Projectiles are very destructive & will destroy normal a Archery Targets very, very quickly...

Buy a bag target, take it into the woods & practice it there...

Lake Needwood has a Range. He will need a target though they only have hay bales. Depending on what his FPS are bag targets may not cut it. I have the Morrell Bone collector block. Also let him know it may be beneficial to purchase a target block made for broadheads so he doesn't have to buy two targets. I unfortunately will have to buy a broadhead block

    MoCo, Md.... for now!
IWLA on Clopper does allow crossbows as long as your not using broadheads. You have to be a member though. There is an archery range at the SoccerPlex near the driving range. They recently replaced their targets but if you miss, you'll probably destroy or lose your arrows. The target frame is metal and it's unforgiving.

Yes but, he'll still need a x-bow target there. He can shoot there though. What about Stryders Archery Range on Clopper Rd.? Is that still there?

Nope, Striders Archery Range is long closed. There is an Archery Range in Germantown Soccerplex. It is located in south west corner. I saw people there shooting crossbows.
