Magpul front plastic sight on DD MK18 pistol?

Anyone running a SBR or Pistol 10.3 Daniel Defense 556? I am trying to figure out where the gas block is and if I can mount the polymer front sight wo it melting and a matching rear magpul polymer as well. The metal Pros are no where to be seen and I probably have better luck trying to get the polymer ones (I hope). Also, lighter. I was able to get the DD Mk18 pistol and trying to get accessories for it and prefer the magpul flip up type sights.

I don't see any reason to worry. It's polymer, not plastic.

I have them on several pistols. Most my SBRs have metal, but only because it was available.

You always could go ultradyne sights, a little pricey but are fine metal sites. They offer plain metal back up sights, and they have their proprietary muzzle device sight system.

First, I have a DDM4V7P, the hand guard has slots and you can see the gas block.

Second, I had a DD Mk18, the hand guard has slots and you can see the gas block.

Any reason why you switched from mk18 to the v7p? Was it the weight? Thanks.

I sold the Mk18 because I got offered a ridiculous amount for it, and the V7P was already on order.

Their is not that much weight difference, maybe 1/2 pound? Also I am not a huge fan of the picatinny railed handguard. I love the slimmer M-Lok on the V7P.
