I purchased one of these 4 years. Working like a champ (opened once every couple weeks or so) until yesterday. Poked in the correct combo, groaned but declined to open. Popped in fresh batteries, now it opens but slowly, and seems to strain like the motors are taking more energy to operate. Contracted Stack on, they advised the warranty is only 3 years. Questions:

    1. Does anyone have this safe and has it operated more than 4 years?
    2. Is there any need to lubricate the motors? Is there any user service that can make the safe more reliable?

I really don't want to replace it, since I would end up drilling another set of holes right next to the existing and weaken the shelf its mounted to.

I would try and lubricate the moving parts. If there are gears moving an arm insufficient lube would strip the likely plastic gears.
