    FREEEEEE AT LAST!!!
How is the mosquito? Does it have any cycling issues with the tac-65? Is it less ridiculously tiny than the walther p-22?

i agree w/ jeep about zero problems w/ the right spring/ammo set up. mine only acts up if i buy the cheap bulk packs of ammo. when i shoot w/ the tac65 on it i just use CCI sub-sonic rds w/ no problems so far.

I'm one of those guys who picked the Mosquito over the P22. The Walther was just too toy-like for me. The Mosquito is not quite full size, but close. Maybe 90%-95% of a P229. Definitely big enough for me to wrap whole hand around and not have a pinky hanging free.

As for reliability, I'm over a thousand rounds now and having very few issues. I was shooting some 20-30 year old Winchester .22lr my dad found this week with just a couple of FTF's. Definitely stick to better ammo, though. It took me forever to get through a brick of PMC. :sad20:

i have a couple mosquitos back in SC i use for my WITO classes and the first time i got them i shot the cheap not plated lead ammo through them. they were shooting all over the place and i did have a few issues that i chalked up to being just the ammo.

we put about 200 rds through one and had so much lead built up in the barrel i had to send it to a gunsmith to have it removed. you could look down the barrel and see an oblong looking hole through the barrel.

that is the only problem i have ever had w/ the gun. i did call Sig and talk to them and they said only to use the higher quality plated ammo through the guns and you won't have a problem. they wanted me to send the gun back to check it out, they provided a UPS label to and from and i had the gun back in a few days w/ even more lead taken out of the barrel.

Ok, Noob Sig Question. When did they go from stamped slides to milled (?)?

    Around 1994.

It was a responce to chambering the 226 in 40 S&W, as well as coming out with the 229 series. The 40 produces higher slide velocities, and they needed the heavier weight of the stainless slides to conter those velocities. If you compare the 9mm slides to the 40 slides you'll feel & see the difference.

I'll try and get some pics later this week of the 2 different slides.

Are the slides on all P239's stainless? Or are some stainless and some carbon steel?
