Few more things i bought in the last week and half....

Another Auto5, mainly cause i wanted the extra deer barrel that came with it but the shotgun was worth the package deal. ( the new one is on the right)

Bought a Krag at the baltimore show.

picked up with Remington 700 in 243 from a friend who needed some fast cash and sold it cheap.

have a 1892 style .357 lever on layaway but im too broke to go get it right now.lol

I don't blame you for grabbing it. They are a joy to shoot. Very interesting design, lots of history behind them, and really well made rifles. My Dad's is really nice. I think he paid 25 bucks for it back in the 70's.

In the days of dopey dreams—happy, peaceful Philippines,
When the bolomen were busy all night long.
When ladrones would steal and lie, and Americanos die,
Then you heard the soldiers sing this evening song:
    Damn, damn, damn the insurrectos!
    Cross-eyed kakiac ladrones!
Underneath the starry flag, civilize 'em with a Krag,
And return us to our own beloved homes.

My father and I always hit up the huge Tulsa gun show every year. This year I've missed too much work because of my back so I had to cancel so I can build up more PTO hours.

My dad grabbed these two rifles while he was there.

This is his first Enfield and Type 99. He does have a Type 38. I really had to talk my Enfield up to get him interested. He always heard they were junk back in the day. He will really regret not grabbing one for 15 bucks back when he was a teenager!

Dad has a good eye! If matching the T99 is a great find, looks to be in excellent condition. Also love the No4. Can't believe anyone could say no to an Enfield for too long. A must-have part of any collection.

My dad was pretty big into guns and milsurp back in the 70s and early 80s, then his job got so crazy he hardly touched a gun for about 25 years. So, back then he says everyone he knew made fun of Enfields ("old smelly"). He had the same reaction when I told him in 2012 I was buying a Mosin.

"those are junk and you can't get ammo for them" were his exact words I believe.

But, now he owns several Mosins and has come around. He was pretty stuck in his ways. I'm currently trying to get him into powder coating his cast bullets, but it hasn't been easy so far.

Fresh from the classifieds this weekend (ChromeDragon is great to deal with).

Item 1. Swiss K31 in hardwood, bore looks great but they did a number with the stamping on the back and front of the receiver but I bought this for a shooter Ill put the one I have that has more "discreet" markings back.

Item 2 is a very nice Yugo M59/66 SKS. This is in "unissued" condition as they were coming in a few years ago. Usual dry looking wood, no sign of firing, and even has the pencil marks from assembly. So now I have Chinese, Russian, Yugo........just need Albanian and Romanian (Ill never see a North Korean).

I almost didn't jump but the prices were fair and why not?
