Replacing the stock sights. Ordered a set of trijicon HDs. Question is are they a PITA to replace? I'm gonna take them to a GS ,but should I expect an eyeroll? Also, what's a est.of rate $$?

Short answer, YES. I thought I was going to break the rear sight pusher and I had to send mine off to get the front put on. Broke a punch and was afraid I would ruin the slide. Send them to the guy at xdman.com. $25 and he had my slide back in a week from the day I shipped it.

They are tough, more because of the wedge shape of the slide than anything else. I had to make a wood jig for my press to do mine.

Freestate did sights for me while I waited a few years ago.

Powder River also did a gun for me including sight change. Good people
