A business associate and his wife are opening a new Play It Again Sports shop in Frederick. The shop opens Monday, 11/5. Kevin and his wife, Lauren, are good people.

For those in that area and you have unused sports gear, consider them over eBay.

    Can we eliminate the BS
    History says, probably not ;)

Good luck to your friends on the new place. It's my favorite place to pick up free weights.

PIAS always struck me as an interesting franchise opportunity, though not a cheap one. I'm most familiar with the Ellicott City store which, when I was living in HC, was typically a freaking mess. If that place was making money, I would think a store with a little more attention would do very well. :party29:

Can we eliminate the BS, I am only trying to get a buddy some possible customers.

If you are referring to my satirization of the presidents speech on small businesses, it was just a joke. No need to get worked up. Plus, it bumped your thread, and helped get more views. Ill be sure to let my aunt know. My cousins all play sports, and live out that way.

Very cool. Good luck to their new business. I remember the one in Gaithersburg way back when. I used to trade in my old hockey gear that I would grow out of, there.
