    I joined this site to get connected to other shooters and really get into the sport. Interested in all firearms old and new.

    What branch of the shooting sports? It's a pretty big tree....everything from the Olympic disciplines, to the run-and-gun tactical stuff, to muzzle-loaders.

    Thanks to everyone welcoming me. I for right now am looking into long range precision shooting am 18 so not a lot of money and sadly no handguns.

    If this is who I think it is, you have access to AR15's, M1 Garands and 22 target rifles, that belong to the club.

    Have you found a local club to join? If not, I would say that should be your first step. Some clubs have rifles to loan members who are interested in joining teams and competing.

    Looks like Dick's Sporting Goods has Remington Core-lock 30-06 on sale for $18.98, I think there is still a Remington rebate good for $2.50 a box too.
