College I think. They don't care about experience.
Just a plug for the job here: I've met some seriously good people in that field. I went to a shooting school in New Mexico with a few of them, and they were, hands down, the best shooters in a class of great shooters.
Having talked to quite a few FAMs over the past few years, I know the job is not all wine and roses. They have (or are?) suffering some serious political issues internally. Same as every fed job. But I have yet to meet one that would not do it all over again. That says something.
If I was younger and didn't have kids I'd miss too much, I'd do it.

Damn, strike 3 - no college. Just lots of time spent at the range...
The way I read it was experience (LE/Mil), higher degree, or combo. It didn't read like college was a prerequisite, unless I got it wrong?

Just something to consider; I understand being a FAM is an excellent move for the training and experience, but not something many people can do and enjoy for an entire career. Think of it (for most people, not all), only as a stepping stone in a law enforcement/criminal justice career.
