    Today on Drudge:

Connecticut moves toward sweeping gun laws...
State to decide who can buy guns, ammunition...
More than 100 weapon types banned...
CA lawmakers consider regulating, taxing ammo...
'AMMUNITION ELIGIBILITY CERTIFICATE?' (emphasis in original)
Dems propose $10,000 fine for insuranceless gun owners...
GA town passes law requiring residents to own guns...
Armed Citizen Project' may expand to Dallas...

Does anyone think the anti's have reached critical mass and SCOTUS may use Kachalsky to put a stop to much of this?

It's hard to imagine the facts of Kalchalsky being relevant enough to the Connecticut and Colorado legislation that the court could address it.

We can only hope. The court must intervene favorably not only on the facts of Kalchalsky, but also with strong guidance to apply strict scrutiny should a means test even be reachable.

We HAVE to get bans on commonly used weapons with standard magazines struck. Having neutered performance characteristics runs antithetical to the only stated purpose contained within the amendment.

There had BETTER be a political AND judicial backlash or it's game over, folks. The stakes are that high. I am just not sure Kachalsky is a broad enough vehicle for all thats happened in various states.

There is the up and coming injunction against the NY Safe Act on the 29th of this month. That could have repercussions on similar laws in CT, NJ and MD.
