Personally, I've always wanted to spend $550 on a stripped lower. lol

I'm confused... I'm supposed to pay 5 times what it's worth because it LOOKS like a transferable auto reciever?! Not to mention it's made by Olympic who is rather well known for their shitty quality...

I'd rather buy a Larue Tactical lower then that damn thing... And you'd have to hold a gun to my head to get me to even consider supporting Larue....

    What a bunch of crap. . . :mad54:

That receiver is no closer to an M-16 receiver ("transferable" or not) than ANY commercial AR-15.

Then, even though it's not, "so what" if it was? It's still not convertible since Reagan signed the '86 MG ban and the closer it is to being an illegal MG, the closer one is to having legal problems over possession of it.

It has the high shelf in the back of the fire control pocket (preventing a full auto FCG installation) and there is no sear pin bore. Other than noting that view of the M-16 lower was omitted from the comparison pics, the shelf doesn't matter, but a sear pin bore in an AR-15 is a trip to Club Fed.

In short, it's no different than any AR-15 lower out there, and maybe not as good as most of modern manufacture.

FWIW, anodizing is easily stripped with a caustic soda (sodium hydroxide (lye)) solution. Having a credit toward anodizing is no big deal unless one wanted a custom color, but for the $450 too much money he wants for it, you could have it gold-plated.
