Does anyone by chance have an old reloading manual that lists load data for 38 Special in rifles? I'm fairly sure that such rifle specific data existed at one time. 60's and 70's vintage comes to mind. Particularly interested in data for Unique, but curious what else may have been published with regard to other powders as well.

Well aware of potential changes in powder formulations over time, and inherent need for caution. Any info much appreciated! If you can also reference source volume and edition, I have secondary interest in maybe sourcing a copy on eBay.

"The Complete Reloading Manual For 38 Special" has rifle data in it. You can usually get it for less than $10 on eBay or Amazon. It's usually floating around on the Internet as a pdf too.

FWIW, the rifle data isn't much different from the handgun data.

Just checked, Hornady Volume II (early 70s) has 38 special rifle data. Volume I doesn't - go figure. Let me know if you want me to scan some pages.

Thank you! I wasn't aware of that.

Wonder where that data is coming from? I think the cartridge specific manuals mine data from the usual mainstream sources. Anyway, I'll check it out!

Mrs. GnR reminded me my smart phone has a camera ... it's been a long week. :o

Let me know if you need better images and we can try an alternate approach.

Thanks again GUNSnROTORS! Much appreciated! Please thank your Mrs. for me as well.

GOOD LORD, data from a far different time to be sure. This'll flat curl your hair!

Folks, this is 45 year old data. It should be considered to be for historical reference purposes only!

Exactly why I printed it out for careful historic study and analysis.

Nickle plated cases will help you keep the loads identified.

And a reminder why you don't shoot other peoples reloads.
