I finally setup my Lee APP for primer pocket swaging on 223/5.56. And WOW is all I can say. Works a treat with only some minimal adjustment to get it right. Loaded up 23 rounds of 223 (a couple were crimped) (what I had left in the sleeve of primers and also the space I had vacant in a 50 round box as I’d loaded the other rounds earlier) It’ll be interesting to see if the 5.56 cases also load up as easily. But it seems promising looking at the crimped cases. The crimp seems gone and no hogging of the primer pocket.
So time soon to set the App back up and run my 1400 223/5.56 otherwise prepped cases through. Then start prepping .308/7.62x51 cases to finally work up some loads there.

What did you use for the swaging die?
I have an RCBS swaging die, is that going to work with the Lee App?
The APP can use standard decapping and resizing dies, but has it's own custom swaging kit.

I have the RCBS swaging setup also and find the APP is much easier to use, requiring much less
arm strength and effort.
And a reminder of some previous threads with helpful links and aftermarket parts that help the APP reach potential

The case feeder with ebay collator should be standard equipment, doing 223/300bo without it was almost impossible.
Finished setting up my 1st of 2 new bench’s and organized them all.
I hand-counted some 9mm brass I obtained. Just over 9,000 rounds, give or take - my ability to count by 5's was starting to waver and my eyes were starting to cross by the end.

Very nice I have your twin and was my total reloading bench for years until I started leather work. Now used for gun cleaning and leather, I made a new reloading bench for just reloading. Ammo storage is another thing the bench cannot hold 5 50 cal. ammo cans full of ammo so I had to come up with out of site storage. Glad I am not the only one with OCD to keep things neat.
I had mentioned some time ago that the Armscore 224 bullets I got about a year ago were crap. Weights as well as OAL of the bullets had wide variation. I had already loaded about 600 rounds but decided to cull out the wider varations of weight. Xtreme 224 is pretty consistent by comparison at about .1gr variation spread. Armscore bullets had a variation spread of 54.8-55.6. I culled everything outside of 55.0-55.3. That took out 20% of them.
Can you come over and clean up my benches?
