Your plan? You dont even live in this state. Its like a General taking advice from basically a deserter. Put your money where your mouth is. Come back and pay those taxes Jealous is promising. Then tell us all about your great plan.

How do you suggest we change Maryland? I'm serious. I laid out my plan and have everyone attacking me for it. Let's hear your plan. The lesser of two evils is still evil. Maryland gets worse every year. How do you stop that? Not slow it down, because that still makes it worse each year. How do you stop it, turn it around so that one SINE DIE you can all take a deep breath and realize today is actually better than yesterday?

The Huffington Post reached out to Hogan's office for additional comment after learning that he would reject an endorsement from the NRA. There's not much here, so just an update ...

When asked what had changed since 2014, when Hogan accepted the NRA’s endorsement, the spokeswoman told HuffPost: “During his campaign in 2014, the governor said he would not act to change Maryland’s gun laws, which are among the toughest in the nation. He has not only kept that promise, but has supported and signed additional measures to keep guns out of the hands of violent offenders and individuals with mental illness.”

As I've said before, it will get more interesting in the debates if Hogan and Jealous are asked what additional gun control measures they would be willing to support.

Thanks for your offer of help, but we Marylanders will handle our own elections in light of all the issues. You don't live here and don't have to suffer the consequences.

    Go West, young man.

I know your plan, hang on and hope that one day big government will come and make things all better.

The plan is vote for the Anti-2a Republican because "hes gonna help us" and not the Anti-2A Communist(or any other option because that's just a vote for the commie) because hes gonna hurt us worse than Larry. EVEN THOUGH!!!! Its not Larry's fault he had to sign those gun bills. The man has no power to stop the MGA AND he's gotta appease the Dems in this state, they outnumber us 2:1.

AND DONT FORGET!!! Hogan is the only one who can stop the MGA and the Dems.

There, thats the plan thats been presented here the last few month on how to fix the state.

Or else taxes will go up and the bay bridge will be way more expensive. Not sure about you but to me essential liberties are useless if im gonna have to pay 6 bucks to go over to the shore.

While I have my own issues with the NRA, specifically over their pansy-assed tail tucking on bump stocks, this tells you all you need to know about our governor and his thoughts on 2A:

Given that history, Hogan didn’t have much reason to believe the NRA would offer an endorsement in the first place, a spokeswoman for the governor told the Post.

“He told them he wasn’t expecting it and didn’t want it,” she said. “He doesn’t think the NRA are big fans of his at the moment.”

The oldest civil rights organization in the country, folks. But hey, he's not the boogeyman, so...

I know your plan, hang on and hope that one day big government will come and make things all better.

Which means you fundamentally misunderstand the efforts already under way. And further illustrating your disconnect on this, consider the courts to be "big government." If you cared even a LITTLE bit about what "big government" actually means, you wouldn't be so anxious to throw your efforts behind the socialist you think should win in November. Because he stands for big government on steroids.

Employing a newly re-aligned court to MINIMIZE the intrusiveness of government generally, and with regard to gun rights specifically, is the opposite of "waiting for big government." You're really showing, now, just how un-serious you actually are about all of this. It's just a game for you. For those of us who actually live here, it's real and serious, and not just a virtue signaling opportunity.

How do you suggest we change Maryland?

Who is we? You dont live here. You dont vote here. You wont pay taxe esp the ones Jealous proposed. Armchair quarterbacking is easy. Jealous proposed to socialize health care which will cost every person -man woman and child $7,000 every year. $20,000 per average family per year. And he will get it because Dems have a supermajority.

To change MD first Jealous needs to go down in flames. Not a small margin. One so large that says NEVER EVER come back with this horseshit. Loud message: NO SOCIALISM. Second, we need to cut into the Dem supermajority. Its a game of simple numbers. 50%ish of the GOP reps we send to Annapolis will be pro 2A. 0% of any Dems. We need to send as many GOP reps as we can to build ranks. Id like to think its 100% but its not reality. Dems have so gerrymandered the districts we are lucky its 50%.

Hogan is maybe not the leader we'd like, bit while all the fire is directed at him we try to gain ground at the district level. Ultimately Hogan is a hostage to the legislature, if the legislature changes so will he.

How has he kept this promise? Lmao

    >Literally said he won't change MD gun laws
    >*Literally* changes MD gun laws by banning bump stocks and signing the "red flag" law

This guy is a true troglodyte and I will never vote for him again. He can shove it. Hogan sycophants need to stop deluding themselves. He's BRAGGING that he supported new laws to one up Jealous. Jfc people

I hope one of his rats scurried back to the MD GOP HQ and told him that people were telling them to take their Hogan signs down.

If 2A isn't your first issue - fine, I get it. It's my first and biggest issue and this fraud can count me out.

Only if you don't care about your 2A rights and only if you have no principles. Again, Hogan can stop nothing that the general assembly wants to pass. A vote for him or a vote for jealous is exactly the same thing. At least I can sleep peacefully at night knowing I did not betray my own values.

A non-vote for Hogan may as well be a vote for Jealous but, sleep well knowing you did your part to elect a socialist POS.

That more of the same, "thank you sir may I have another" attitude is why Maryland is as bad as it is today. At some point you need to stand up, reject the status quo, and fight for change. Supporting Hogan will only ensure another gun grabbing RINO is the R candidate in 2022.

Start at the beginning of the thread and read it through please. You will see I'm not OK with Jealous, I'm not advocating voting for Jealous, the plan I put forward will not hand the election to Jealous. I'm getting tired of repeating that to everyone who puts words in my mouth and tells me (wrongly) what I said. You'll also see why I am so passionate about this race even though I left Maryland 4 years ago. I'll never support or respect someone who doesn't believe in the COTUS and who is willing to sign away your rights guaranteed to you by birth. I don't know why so many on here are willing to elect a proven gun grabber. You can't go through life voting for the lesser of two evils. At some point you need to stand up and effect change so that one of the candidates is no longer evil.

I've read every post on this thread. I see someone who has no dog in this fight, passionately argueing for us to hang ourselves. I need to stand up and fight for change?? So my showing up in Annapolis to testify over the years, picketing weekly, visiting my reps (who I am lucky enough to have the good guys), sending emails, making phone calls doesn't count? That is me rolling over? Got it. What would you have me do instead since tou have this grand plan? Oh that's right, have less electable candidates every year. Having 2A rights won't do me a damn bit of good if I can't afford to exercise thwm because I am taxed to death.

I do those things too. But what message do you send when you just vote for the guy that supports all the things you're against? If taxes go up 20%, or whatever, you'll certainly get more republicans in the legislature next election cycle.

    A vote for Hogan is:
A vote against the 1st Amendment.
A vote against the 2nd Amendment.
A vote against the 5th Amendment.
A vote against the 14th Amendment.
    A vote for high taxes.
    A vote for gun control.
    A vote for Obamacare.

So many people have fought and died for our rights to determine our own courses through life as free people that I can't imagine wasting their blood and sacrifice by voting for Larry Hogan, who rejects all the Constitutional principles we (and he) should be fighting for.

The spirits of people who valiantly risked and lost their lives for our freedom deserve better than a wasted vote for Hogan or his evil twin Jealous. A vote for either of them is an insult to all they sacrificed.

What is the breakdown for a Vote for Jealous?

One of those two will be elected Governor in November.

One of these two unappealing choices will indeed be elected governor of this state.

I will vote my own self interest, which will be the candidate that I perceive to be lesser of the two evils.

Hogan is not our friend, not by any stretch of the imagination. Jealous represents even more of an immediate enemy.

The proverbial shit sandwich. Pass the pepper please.

So let's throw our undivided support behind Hogan...maybe he'll even win by a wide margin...what's that say about us? That we like and support his "common sense" approach to gun rights and legislation, his stance against the NRA, his anti-Trump rhetoric? I don't support any of that and can't vote for a man who does.
