Ruger Wrangler/Single six/??

Id like to purchase a Ruger .22 revolver. There are a bazillion on gunbroker but Id prefer a local-ish purchase. Your FFL or mine. I could trade .45 ACP if that helps you decide, but cash is preferred. If you know of a LGS with one on hand, please point me in that direction. Thanks!

The Machine Gun Nest in Frederick has a number of Wranglers in stock as of yesterday. Those...and Hi Point pistols are just about all they've been able to get.

Has anyone handled/shot a wrangler? Is it the same size as a single six or is it small like the Bearcat?

JLowe's website shows the Wrangler as being available. I believe he's now doing business at the Tactical Shepherd shop in Rising Sun.

Much closer to the Single Six. Not sure but the grips may even interchange between the Wrangler and Single Six.

I believe they are interchangeable, at least with the new model single six. I swapped out to laminate grips on my wrangler, and the replacements were labeled for both.

I haven't actually handled a Wrangler but I simply don't like the looks...they don't look like quality but I feel confidant they are...Ruger is a reputable company and will stand behind them. They're designed to fit a market segment serviced by products like Roughrider and their inexpensive line of rimfire single-action revolvers. There's a place for them...no criticism in that.

Sig sells the Mosquito, and that is confirmed garbage by most (former) owners.
