Not that I know of. I will be doing more research into it, but from what I can tell, those specific issues seem to occur with 8,000,000 and above serial numbers, which this one is not. I contacted the seller, and he relayed to me that he put an entire box of Remington Green-and-White 150 Grain .30-06 through the gun with no issues whatsoever. Also, any interested buyer(s) are welcome (and encouraged) to come in and bring in headspace gauges, other testing tools, and fully look over the gun, bolt, and any other parts they wish to inspect. Hope that helps.

The higher velocity ammunition causes the casings to expand more. I was told by S&W that older models have tighter chambers and higher velocity ammunition can make the casings much more difficult to extract. We put a whole a box of CCI Quiet and other low velocity 22's through it and function was flawless. CCI Mini mags tend to be a pain to extract.

Interesting! I have never had that issue before. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks. I was having this vision of high velocity blowing up the gun (couldn't fathom it with.22LR and that frame) so its just an extraction issue.
