    REKAT was out of Idaho , They went out of business a few years back . Never owned any of their stuff but I hear they were good quality .

    its got the ats34 blade and holds an edge like crazy. i think its a real early knife, no markings other than an eye on the guard plus the handle wasa obviously ground with a belt sander rather than molded like the newer ones were. i still take it on every hunting trip. great for skinning other than the teeth dig a bit into your hand if you place it too far forward

    anybody have any EK knives?early, pre-blackjack made in richmond?

    Been wanting to get a No5 myself . Good luck in your search they have been bringing a good bit . I have not seen any of the new ones , last I heard old employees are making them again but that was a few years back .
