Henry Big Boy 357 mag 16.5"

I have the opportunity to pick up one of these from a friend. The rifle is unfired, and since I already own a S&W 686, I'm thinking of picking this up. Any one here own one? I'd like to get your thoughts before pulling the trigger.

I don’t own a Henry but the ones I’ve inspected and from what I’ve heard they make very nice rifles. I can’t get over the no side loading gate and if I had a choice, I would pick a blued receiver. Brass does nothing for me but a good blue just feels right! But it all comes down to “will you be happy with it?”.

I really really want to buy a Henry Big Boy in the future, they are made very nicely. Go for it.

I have a 357 in silver, and love it! Oh, and I can load it faster than my gated 357 lever gun. That's a pretty one there.
