Just got a response to my email inquiry that says mine was approved and the letter was mailed yesterday. Now it's time to go shopping again, which will be easier said than done...

Where did you email your inquiry to? I tried calling them but eventually ended up at an answering machine saying were overwhelmed blablabla. Sent the application on 12/26 and am still waiting.

My wife mailed hers out sometime in the middle of Jan. Have to wait and see what the turnaround is. I got mine a few yrs ago and it seemed like it was a few months back then.

Got mine in about 3 weeks time a couple of weeks ago.

I hope our pro 2A efforts can fend off the recent bills that have been submitted or being a designated collector won't mean that much.

As it stands now, there are hardly in regulated weapons in shops to buy and if the bills pass, what is now known as a regulated weapon will no longer be available.

Where did you guys get the form notarized? Bank?

I hate the idea of some low-level teller knowing I have a pile of guns at my house. They obviously see my address.

I went to my bank. The notary was the manager, not a teller.

I went to the UPS store... $4.

By law, the most a notary in Maryland can charge is $2 per notary act, plus mileage (up to $5) if they travel to you.

I don't charge anything to notarize documents (I had my wife get her notary so she can do my stuff - saves time and no one knows my business). Getting your notary in Maryland is as simple as filling out he application, mailing it in along with the fee ($20 if I recall) and taking your oath at he courthouse - no training or bond requirements.

It pisses me off when notaries rip off the public.

So the addresses are the same as far as street, state, zip. But the " Maryland State Police Licensing Division" is different than the form which states "Firearms Registration Section".

I hope mine gets there. I put MSP as the addressee.

It's in Pikesville...how big can the building be?

Big enough for a mis-addressed letter to be "lost" Just heard from an FFL today that MSP is "loosing" a lot of correspondence
