If the BLACK toner cartridge wasn't empty on my printer I would make a word document sign and drive 30 miles to ENSF and post the signs tonight.

I think Shawn will take care of it but Kevp is correct.... MD Shooters arguing over this is nuts.

Too easy to write, but as you see and what can't readily be undone is the engrained sense of "Ceciltucky Yahoo, cowboy it up!" Like someone has to explained the difference between "Rifle" and "Pistol" range.

Yes, you are going to get SOME military, and SOME cops, but then again, I can find you a squirrel in EVERY tree.

That is why I go during the week - early. Retired guys, cops, military types, gunsmiths, etc...

What I'd hate to see, however, is ENSF go on lock down because a few people can't police themselves.

Here's a suggestion for you. Issue Range Cards. Wanna get serious? Anyone who can't produce a DD-214 or some other form of police training certificate, or equivalent, to state that they have been formally trained, make them go through a training class, ran by the RSO's. Too easy - HOOAH!

It's not small stuff....

Go Volunteer your weekend and have someone tell you I'm going to shoot the gun I want on whatever range I want even when the DNR and the RSO specifically tells them that it's prohibited.

dont need to tell me that.. i know how it feels.. been dealing w/ same issue down in La Plata.. you got to understand.. no matter how hard you try there will be at least one or two that will be against it and will not abide by the rules.

what i meant by earlier post.. at least the common sense of those who know the rules should set an example instead of arguing over it.

Also what hasn't been said here is shooters need to police themselves. If you are at the range and someone is doing somehthing stupid, call them on it. If the stupidity continues, call the phone numers to DNR that are posted. I would feel pretty bad if I left and something happened because I chose not to do anything about it.

We see these accidental range shootings from time to time im the news. Every time it is, someone comments on how bad it is for us and the 2A and how the gun grabbers just love it. So why do people choose to bury their heads in the sand rather than take a stand for safety?

Check out my previous post, where I called out "Dude" and his crackhead girlfriend who stapled their targets to the back of their bag chair, for loading ammo while we were down range.

Get stupid on the range, and I WILL call you (anyone) out.

hap baker has 2 RSO'S on duty all the times to enforce the rules. rules are posted on site and anyone not complying is told to leave, police escort if nessecary. we been told many times every week that we are one of the safest ranges around. 13 years and no injures yet. (knock on wood) I guess our methods work.

I actually agree with this, lets add some pshyc evaluations in the mix. Since some people on here fly off the handle and start name calling..BTW where did that thread go?.

Id also like to see stats on LEOs being unsafe shooters.

Ive also been at the range while some wacky things have gone on and people that claim to have called it out haven't..

I refuse to argue from behind my computer screen with name calling MANIC people......

I only posted one reply to your message, the one directly under it..Im sorry was I unclear? And left room open for confusion?

I should have also quoted the other members messages... Well except the one that called me a jerk off, douche bag, asswhipe that was deleted. Im sure its remembered the manic statement telling everyone else to "GO AWAY" it was a conversation between tzoid and I....

The problem is no consistency.

I have seen people told SBR's are not ok at the Rifle Range, OR the Pistol Range.

If its about ammo at certain ranges skipping off the ground and going over a berm then why are pistol caliber carbines, or SBR pistol carbines ok at the rifle range? They shoot the same bullet, just a little faster.

I have seen people say Hunting Handguns and Muzzleloader handguns are ok at the Rifle Range.

Where do you shoot the SBR? Where do you shoot the hunting handgun, where do you shoot the muzzleoader pistol, where do I shoot a pistol calober carbine?

And before someone calls me something or gets nasty, its a question I asking clarification about. Im not looking for people who are supposed to maintain at ENSF and R.O.'s to tell me to shut up.

Get locked up because you can't comply?

Not trying to be flip, but I think it is only fair to the rest of us, from a safety perspective, what your answer is.
