Sorry about your luck. I would avoid MD if possible and look at WV, PA, or VA. People are great....politicians are horrible if you live outside western or eastern MD. The liberalism is equal to CA and Ill.

I would avoid at all costs. PA, WV, VA, and DE are close. I regret buying a home here.

This.... Sadly I bought a home 4 months ago, and am now trying to talk the fiancée in to putting it on the market.

I can't stand for the tyrannical oppressive Gov that is in Annapolis... The gas tax vote today- was the last straw. I'm beyond fed up.

On a pleasant note- welcome to the site- lots of good people here, lots of information & and whole lot of fun banter!

Maryland is a beautiful and unique place. If you can look past the horrific politics, awful taxes and policies, it's a great place to live.

Man I feel the same way. I grew up in the city and now I don't feel safe anywhere near there. You can look and see how beautiful this state used to be, but has now been run down into dirt. All of those historic houses and beautiful neighborhoods destroyed :sad20:.

Anyway OP....welcome to Maryland, the Free State!

    God speed my good man.

    Thank you.

Man- I re-read my post, and all the others in this thread, this is a really really sad state (pun intended) of affairs here.

It's a shame so many of us feel this way. I miss the days politics was something that my parents yelled at the tv about on Sunday mornings and I was busy playing with Lego's.

It definitely is a sad STATE of affairs. I'm just glad my girlfriend wants to move out of MD as badly as I do. Her top 2 states to move to within the next 5 years are NC and TX. Lucky to have a southern belle.

Anne Arundel has plenty of nice areas, and lots of stores. Calvert is more woodsy.

MD isn't the best place for pro-2A, but I guess it's better than California... :P

Beautiful state, nice people weest of I270 and east of the bay bridge. Central Maryland is New Jersey. Socialists are everywhere.

If possible go to WV, VA or PA.
