Hi Cookmi1,
this is actually my 1st post contributing something to this forum (my only other post was my introduction).
I have (2) Canik's, the TP9 SF Elite and the TP9 SFX w/ Vortex Viper.
My 1st purchase was the SF Elite, from day 1, I have shot nothing but CCI Blazer Brass 115gr through it. No issues with it.
A few months later, I purchased the SFX, went to the range with the 115gr Blazers and repeatedly had jamming/failure to eject issues. Did some research, ended up buying 1000 rounds of Blazers in 124gr. Went through all of them, now I'm good to go and can shoot 115 or 124 with no issues. I'm guessing the spring needed to get broken in possibly.
I have a TP9SFX. Same thing: First ~300 rounds I had lots of failures. After that it has shot every round with no issues at all. They need a break in period.
Welcome from west of Fredneck! If you haven’t done it already consider applying for your Designated Collectors letter from MSP. Exempts you from the “1 in 30 days” purchase restriction. Good luck.
just get some 124 nato and shoot like 3oo rounds, it will accelerate the process. or if you can find +p 124 or 135. not sure if your gun has any limitations to ammo. I just stick with 124 nato for practice since my carry is 124 hst +p, doesnt make sense to practice with rounds that feel and act differently than what you are using for life saving reasons.
