HOW to APPLY for a MARYLAND Carry Permit

My boss gave me the ok and said he'll write me a permission letter. Does anyone have a general form letter or specific wording how he should write this??

I handle lots of cash every day/night, make night deposits sometimes, have a ATM machine to service, and my schedule constantly rotates.

Does anyone know if the permit number is just random numbers or if the number accurately represents the total number of permits issued? My permit is five digits and starts with a 9.

Mine is 8 digits, the last 5 begin with 9 as well: XXX - 9XXXX

It should be a single digit starting with the numeral 2.

Two separate background checks; I'd say it's possible.

Quick question. I was fingerprinted at the DMV about 1 1/2 yrs ago for childcare along with my wife. Can I use that today for an HQL
or will I have to do it again. It was the livescan method. Thanks.

need to do it again. there is a routing number attached to Livescan prints. MSP has no way of seeing prints sent to other agencies AFAIK.

And prints are only good for 30 days in the CJIS system.

Can any of you folks that applied for Wear & Carry under Personal Protection as your G&S PM me and let me know how it worked out for you, etc, etc. I am in this boat personally and just applied a few weeks ago.

Unless/until your restrictions are modified. They begin adding/changing letters at the end of the license number when the restrictions are modified. I have had it change twice.

mines starts with a 9 and ends with a 4

I wonder on how many of those really belong to the general public

Still looking at a ~90 day time frame from the date the licensing division receives your application to mail out their determination.

Interview is scheduled for this week. Is that a good sign. Only been 50ish days
