So I work for a private security company part time and they have a gig in VA Saturday. I don't have the DCJS card but I have my Utah permit. I should still be good to carry right? Thanks

Hmmm, that’s a good question. I would think that as a private citizen you are good to go, but as far as carrying while employed by someone else I’m not so sure. I took the DCJS class years ago and the teacher said that carry laws can get complicated. If you are armed and working as a guard and do not have the DCJS card that allows you to be an armed quard YOU might get in trouble, not your company.I would call and double check, might not be worth the risk.
