Croquet Cup huh.. that’s what all those weirdos in pastel were about, lol. Well, the Gotts garage said full but I found a spot right away, although getting out of the garage was a different story. The weather was nicer than the old 2A Tuesday rallies, the turnout should have been better. I hope it isn’t a sign of how many have given up or moved away. I took some video as well, I’m not that good at editing and I’m worse at talking to the camera, lol. But you only have to listen to me for 48secs ;)

    Nice video.

The weirdos were in pastel? They were having a good time, and it really brought me back to the 1980's. That was the everyday fashion in Miami back then. I was wondering if they knew that.
Smigiel's line "Shrimp on a Cracker", was epic.. lol

Here's the article in the Capital Gazette. The quote from Gov. Hogan's Spokeswoman does not warm the cockles of my heart:

“The governor has always supported common-sense policies to keep firearms out of the hands of individuals with mental illnesses or violent criminal backgrounds who could pose a danger to themselves and others,” said spokeswoman Amelia Chasse in an email.

She said “our legislative team worked closely with members of both houses to ensure that proper due process was included in the legislation,” such as an evidentiary standard to issue a lethal violence protective order and a chance for the gun owner to address the petition against him or her.

Since due process isnt included BEFORE the weapons are seized could that mean he will veto it ?? (Wishful thinking ???)

At the bar I was at last night they were talking guns and I brought this POS up those they knew about it (supposedly gun owners) thought it was a good bill . Once I explained it in layman terms what potential this bill could have they were appalled and said they would email Hogan  . The best response I got was the guy said I am from Delaware so we are good . Told him to go see what his legislators are up too :lol2: .

Yep and since it’s ex parte, it violates the Sixth amendment right to face your accuser.

This bill is blatantly unconstitutional on its face

    Due process myA$$

Big  to everybody that came out yesterday.

It sure was nice to see everybody that was there and put more faces and screen names together. The weather was so much nicer than Monday night; I'd like to thank whoever arranged for that.

I was proud to stand with you all.

There was nothing we could do about Gov. Hogan being in the Eastern Shore yesterday, but thanks to the Baltimore Sun coverage of our “Rally To Stop the Red Flag Bill” Hogan and his aides will have to answer the question: “Governor, where is the Due Process you told The Legislature must be in the bill?

Coincidentally, it was quotes from Eastern Shore participants in the Rally that WILL NOT LET THE GOVERNOR SIDESTEP THE FLAWS IN THIS BILL:

From the Baltimore Sun: "GUN RIGHTS ADVOCATES STAGE RALLY OUTSIDE STATE HOUSE"

Speakers repeatedly motioned to the nearby Governor’s Mansion in urging Hogan to pull support he has pledged for two gun control measures passed during the legislative session that ended last week. One bill bans bump stocks, the accessory used by the Las Vegas concert shooter last year, while the so-called “red flag” law would require gun owners to give up their weapons if a judge finds them to be an “extreme risk.”

Protesters argued the “red flag” law goes too far and would deny citizens due process.

“It’s not really about the guns. It’s about disarming, and this is just one little raindrop in the storm,” said Don Howell, from Princess Anne on the Eastern Shore
, who retired from the real estate business and works as a painter. “What the whole agenda is is to disarm America, shred our Constitution and make the United States into a socialist nation.

“They want to take away the freedom that our founding fathers fought for,” Howell said.

Kevin Hulbert, a member of Patriot Picket, said he also came from the Eastern Shore to demonstrate and try to convince the governor to withdraw support for the red flag bill.

We believe that once he recognizes the constitutional problems in the bill, that he won’t sign it,” Hulbert said. “There are better ways to go about the issue of dealing with the severely mentally ill or the criminally insane.

“It also specifically names gun owners as the persons to be petitioned against,” he said “It’s the first time in American history that a group that would normally be protected by the Constitution because they have a Second Amendment right to own their firearms, they’ve been targeted as a group by the bill.”

Our March & Rally was a complete success when viewed from the perspective of keeping pressure on Hogan!

Without a March & Rally, there would be no event for the Baltimore Sun to cover; instead we have awesome quotes from our participants that Gov. Hogan must address because Marylanders statewide will read them and know about the flaws.

In the article, it’s clear that the Governor and his people did NOT respond to the Red Flag concerns voiced at our event. We continue to get crucial traction in our grassroots campaign to demand that Hogan get out the VETO pen!

Those quotes could be taken either way.

They come across as more positive than negative. .02

Hogan still has a chance to do the right thing for all of Maryland's citizens.

So with that, what do you think the majority of voters believe?

So with that, what do you think the majority of voters believe. Getting to the point where the Roman Centurion points at the Barbarians, and asks his Prefect, "Don't these people know when they are conquered?"

Sorry, Surrender Monkeys, garnering major media coverage of the RED FLAG bill yesterday was the tactical victory our side needed to ratchet up the pressure.

The Baltimore Sun is THE "paper of record" in Maryland for the Governor and his people, and if this goes the way we planned it, they will be getting inquires from other press outlets to demand an explanation for who is right: The Gov. or the people participating in protest events against the RED FLAG bill who are quoted in the Sun.

Ed Zachary,. As Bluto stated, it's not over until we say it is.

And it will never be over until we prevail.

    However long that may take.

Also, we have a slew of great pictures to put up later to acknowledge the excellent Patriot Activists who made the March & Rally possible.

I am going to name names of the fine folks who helped us get this issue into the Baltimore Sun to give us this chance!

With Patriot Picket press releases going to more than a dozen media outlets, we SUCCEEDED in getting a warning shot across Hogan's bow. (Don't make me quote Teddy Roosevelt's "In The Arena" speech)

So, pictures and kudos up soon for our folks responding yesterday--as many I can possibly identify-- but first, I am headed out to church.

I redacted the metaphor. Why people get so bent is beyond me. Hogan can Veto the Bill. Better?
I'm just going with odds, and no I'm not wagering $ on it. How many Gun Control Bills in Maryland have been Veto'd?
Hogan is on record supporting a law like this. It's like the initial Day One mantra, when Hogan is on record "We're not changing current gun laws"

All the Republican delegates voting for it, then against it were pandering to Republican majority electorates in their area. No way in hell do I believe all those R delegates had some evolution the Bill didn't hold up to Constitutional or legal muster all of a sudden. That would be one group of attorneys I hope I never happened to hire. They count on handfuls of votes and switched for votes, Hogan does not have the luxury of a Republican majority electorate.

We get bent about Roman Emperor quotes because we put a lot of sweat equity into keeping this issue alive--and now alive in the Sun "paper of record".

Sorry if you've been run over by the Believers Bandwagon.

Seriously, 2A in Maryland doesn't get very far with Emperor quotes from the White Flag Brigade.

Smigiel commented today Hogan is already cooked, as in gone.

I look what happened in Virginia as one clue. I look at Trump's favorable rating to Maryland voters as another. The Dems this time out really get to choose their candidate. More Dems will vote next election, and if the minority voters get out, put a fork in it.

Maine I read pulled 600 to their rally. Maryland would need ~3,000 to match in ratio.

    With frenemies like this.....

Sad, but if I was an ANTI trying to drain energy from our 2A side while this veto is still in play, your Emperor quote and these other quotes above would be exactly what I would be dropping into MDshooters.

Then it is weak to begin with.

If I had listened to people telling me my businesses would fail, I'd have never succeeded. Maybe 2A advocates should suck it up and when a bit of self deprecating comment is inserted, just shake it off. Lot of people promising to go didn't while some Surrender Monkeys showed up to insert in the "body count" and listen to the speakers. Some constantly conflate expectations as the "White Flag".. getting old. You have no clue of the capital other people invest in the 2A fight. It has been enlightening the past week where mine will be shifted.
