I have a Ranger 20g o/u from the 30s it was made by Marlin for Sears. Marlin stopped servicing the gun some years ago and sold all the spare part to Numrich. I was able to track down the top lever spring at Numrichs and have my old 20 gauge o/u repaired after sitting in the safe broken for almost 30 years . I don't shoot it any more but am passing it on to my son as it was passed from my father to me and by his father to him. I hope you find the part you need.

    Lance,

That part number indicates it was a Sears and Roebuck sold rifle. It was essentially a Marlin 81 bolt action, tube fed. The Sears guns usually had Beech stocks, cheaper stamped sights and didn't have things like grip caps and white line butt plates. I would say that you should look at other model Marlin made bolt actions of the period as they probably used the same firing pin. I grew to hate the tube fed models as getting parts for the lifter assembly was almost impossible in later years.
