I’ve bought a couple from Numerich, ‘Guns not parts’ on GunBroker. They don’t always have them but I have 3 from them, they’re not real pretty but they work. I bought spares in case I need parts. The locking blocks are never available and they cost almost 50% of an entire pistol.

Theres a guy thats selling newly made locking blocks for i believe $85 or so on a forum. Im new here and not sure if im allowed to mention other forums here but a google search should lead you to them. Id be more concerned about having the original mag. Those can be costly and hard to find.
I suspect P38 mags could be made to work if a new notch for the catch is dremeled properly. The mags are otherwise identical. P38 mag wants to seat just a bit too deeply, and of course won't lock in.
But p38/p1 mags are plentiful and cheap.

I think the big headache is that the 1951s in this batch aren't C&R. At least not most of them.
