Quick question for anyone that has a Savage MSR-10 - Have you upgraded / swapped out the stock charging handle? If so, what did you use? I just bought a new Radian Raptor SD “for AR10/SR25”. It doesn’t fit my rifle. It’s too long, and won’t latch closed. See attached pics, the comparison btw the stock handle and the Raptor. I wanted a handle with more extension so I could grab it better from underneath my rifle scope’s eyepiece. The one pic shows the stock charging handle installed with the BCG, and it latches perfectly, while the Radian won’t reach far enuf to latch due to it being about an inch too long.
Is this just a common thing in the AR10 platform? I understand there are no real consistent standards with the AR10 / SR25 platforms. This sucks, has anyone else had an issue with the Savage MSR-10 parts & pieces? I re-shopped for a handle to resolve this issue, and nobody gives their overall length dimension for me to confirm fit. My next call is to Savage I suppose, but hopefully someone on here had/has this same issue and can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.....
