so, for a while now I have been thinking about swapping my Remington 700 bdl in 30-06 out to something else in 30-06.

Originally was looking at the Tikka's, but not being able to unload the rifle while safety is on doesn't sit well with me.

Started looking at the Browning X bolt's, so far really liking what I see. Everything I have read so far on these has been positive. Would be going with wood stocked version (most likely).

Any advice good or bad on the x bolts, or something else I should consider?

    TIA.

I have been shooting the x-bolt long range stalker in 6.5CR. Love it.

As mentioned, no real aftermarket. OK for me as I like it the way it is. The hells canyons are sweet.
