In an article in Newsweek, Senator Mark Warner has said he now WON'T support national reciprocity (where he had supported it in the past)!

To justify his decision, Warner is purposely and maliciously conflating criminals with CHP holders. That is insulting to Virginia's law-abiding citizens, of which there are almost half a million CHP holders.

CHP holders are not the problem, Senator Warner, they are a solution. Violent criminals and the criminally insane are the problem.


ACTION ITEM #1:

Let's take a few minutes to call Senator Warner's office and leave him a message (calls will get his attention better than emails).

* Senator Warner needs to support S.446 "Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017"
* Senator Warner is treating concealed handgun permit holders as if they are criminals and that is an insult to Virginia's law-abiding citizens
* Permit holders save lives in the United States virtually every day, including the lives of police on occasion
* Revocation of permits is extremely rare (a fraction of one percent) and even then it is almost never because of a crime
* There are 450,000 Virginia concealed handgun permit holders and over 13.5 million permit holders in the U.S.

While we are at it, let's take a few more minutes to call Senator Tim Kaine, who is also not backing the bill. He represents us and darn well needs to hear from us in that case.
