The health care debacle decreased my assessment of McConnell's chance of getting this through the Senate to 0. What a spineless group of cowards.

I’m starting to believe there is more to gain by a R politician by holding off on any 2A vote then to have Anything pass leaving no more 2A supporter $$. Swamp.
ICBW. Actually I hope I’m wrong.

At some point the NRA will start asking questions. They can't simply be an organization only successful in blocking anti-gun legislation; they need to go on offense and pass something.

I would have thought this would have been a slam dunk for the Republicans, but they have once again proven they are too afraid to act on anything decisively.

Sounds like more vote shoring than something that would realistically pass. We see attempts at gutting DC's laws. Where do they go every year?

Actually, that opens up the topic I'd hoped someone in the fed gubmit would do. It needs to be made law or ruled by scotus that states rights do not extend/over-rule rights enumerated in the constitution.
