    When you've heard that sound... or had one strike within inches of your noggin... (NOT a ND/AD)

    It changes your outlook on life.

    I've heard the sound my friend, just never while in the military.

    I was a comms guy in the ARMY and mostly in fixed facilities inside the wire on bases both CONUS and OCONUS. The only time that changed was my last duty station, in which I had to wear a suit 95% of the time, stationed at Anacostia NAS with a secondary reporting station of the Old Executive Office Building.

    In light of the current discussion I though the opening statement of the law about picketing peoples homes, quoted below, was particularly poignant:

    (a) The General Assembly declares that:

    (1) the protection and preservation of the home is the keystone of democratic government;

    Yeah but they can come to our home and take our guns , if someone says we are not right in the head .
    But we can't walk in front of theirs with signs ...seems fair to me . :sad20:

    Just like G&S, the home is preserved, but not the life of the occupant.
